Junior IT Technicians – Ireland (short-term / part-time)

ICT Services are currently seeking a Level 2 Desktop Support Engineer, working on one of our customer sites in Dublin. This is a daily rate contract initially for 6-12 months with a view to go permanent after 1 year of service.

ICT Services is currently partnering with a Research Centre to undergo a nationwide testing project in the educational sector. This is an exciting opportunity for junior engineers to get hands on technical experience as training will be provided, but also for self-employed IT Engineers available on a ad-hoc basis. We are looking for engineer nationwide.

The project will kick-start on 20th of March for 2 weeks with a break over Easter and back on April 17th for 2 weeks again.

Requirements:

  • Previous IT rollout experience, e.g. EPOS systems installation or ATM installs, PC build experience.
  • Must be over 25 years old and hold a EU Full Driving License
  • Good customer facing skills as you will be dealing directly with our customer
  • Receive delivery of laptops, carry out testing to assess their functionality
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting during the testing process
  • Conduct back-up data harvest after all testing has concluded
  • Carry out final checks on laptop functionality post-testing and report faults
  • Travel will be necessary
  • Transport will be provided for this work but also considering engineers with their own transport.
