Deskside Support Engineer – Dundalk

ICT Services are currently seeking a Desktop Support Engineer, working on one of our customer sites in Limerick. This is a full-time position working onsite with our customer.

Role:

We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to work on-site with one of our clients — a global leader in developing and manufacturing biologic medicines, supporting both pharmaceutical and biotech companies from early research to large-scale commercial production. This is a full-time, on-site role, Monday to Friday, for 6 months, based in Dundalk.

Requirements:

  • 3–4 years of hands-on IT support experience (L1/L2 environment)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with common enterprise tools
  • Experience supporting hardware, printers, and mobile devices
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)
  • Experience with device-management tools (Intune, SCCM)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide L1/L2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and account/permission issues
  • Configure, install, and maintain end-user devices and standard applications
  • Manage tickets, document resolutions, and meet SLA requirements
  • Maintain asset inventory and ensure device compliance
  • Follow company security, compliance, and change-management procedures
  • (If pharma environment): Work according to GxP guidelines and follow required validation/documentation standards
