ICT Services are currently seeking IT Support Engineer working on one of our customer sites in Dublin 24. This is a full-time position with a hybrid model in place and attractive benefits package for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Installing and configuring software, hardware: To set up and maintain the necessary software applications, hardware components, and network IT infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Support Desk Tools: To take ownership of IT tickets and work with the IT team to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues: To keep a close eye on system performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve any technical issues promptly.
  • Setting up accounts and workstations: To create new user accounts, configure Laptops and workstations, and manage access permissions.
  • Help to build an internal knowledgebase with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
  • Various adhoc duties

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working on a busy helpdesk. Candidates should have hands-on experience managing IT systems and applications.
  • Knowledge of databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management: Familiarity with system security
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude: the need to troubleshoot issues efficiently and to a conclusion.
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to interact with all levels of the organisation.
  • Education: Professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) or CompTIA A+ would be preferable.
