This isn’t a heads-down support role. We need someone who leads projects from design to go-live, commands major incidents with calm authority, and can walk a non-technical leadership team through a complex infrastructure change without losing the room.
What you’ll own
- End-to-end project leadership – scoping, delivery, vendors, stakeholders, go-live
- Change management presented clearly to senior, non-technical stakeholders
- P1 incident command – who to pull in, how to chase vendors, how to communicate upward throughout
- L3 escalation support across Windows Server, VMware, AD, Exchange, M365/Azure AD, Dell, Veeam, AWS
- Networking and security: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN
- ISO27001, SOX, NIST compliance support; ITIL incident, change and problem management
- Mentoring junior engineers and owning change control documentation
You’ll be a strong fit if
- You have 4+ years in a corporate infrastructure role with solid project and incident examples to back it up
- You’ve presented technical changes to non-technical decision-makers and made it land
- Financial services or MSP background; degree in CS or related field; MCP/MCSE/VMware a bonus
- You don’t mind rolling up your sleeves – title isn’t what drives you
- Strong candidates whose CV doesn’t tell the full story are encouraged to reach out. Get in touch for a confidential conversation.
